Scope And Manufacturing

 

ASTM B464 specification is for Welded Alloy 20 Pipe for corrosion resistant and high temperature vessels. The welded pipe is subjected to heat treatment, and its composition shall conform to the chemical requirements for carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, columbium, niobium, tantalum, nitrogen, and iron. The material shall conform to the mechanical property requirements for tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.

The pipe shall be tested using the following: flattening test, nondestructive test requirements, and transverse guided bend test. The length are single random, double random & cut length. Ends given to pipe are Plain end, Beveled end, Threaded end.
