ASTM B514 Welded Pipe Manufacturer

Sachiya Steel International Is One Of The Leading Manufacturer And Exporter Of High Quality ASTM B514 Welded Pipe, which is available in different designs, shapes and sizes to our clients. The molybdenum content of the nickel – molybdenum alloys such as these ASTM B514 Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Pipes is that there is a strong tendency for phases other than the desirable (face – centered cubic) gamma phase to form in the microstructure, particularly in the temperature range 500 Degree C to 900 Degree C. The time – temperature – transformation diagram shown above illustrates the advantages of these ASTM B514 Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Welded Pipes over its predecessor (B-2 alloy).

ASTM B514 Welded Pipe
      ASTM B514 Welded Pipe

One of the chief attributes of these ASTM B514 Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Cold-Worked Pipes is their resistance to chloride – induced stress corrosion cracking. A common solution for assessing the resistance of these ASTM B514 Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Annealed Pipes to this extremely destructive form of attack is boiling 45 % magnesium chloride (ASTM Standard), typically with stressed U – bend samples.

As is evident from the following results, these ASTM B514 Tubes are much more resistant to this form of attack than the comparative, austenitic stainless steels. Wrought products such as these ASME SB 514 Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Pipes are being supplied in the Mill Annealed (MA) condition, unless otherwise specified. This solution annealing procedure has been designed to optimize the corrosion resistance and ductility of these ASME SB 514 Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Welded Pipes.

Scope And Manufacturing

ASTM B514 specification covers Inconel 800 (UNS N08800) welded pipe whose outside diameter and nominal wall pipe shown in ANSI B36.19. Pipe having other dimensions may be furnished provided such pipe complies with all other requirements of the specification. Welded pipe shall be furnished with a scale-free finish. When bright annealing is used, descaling is not necessary.

Pipe is capable of withstanding, without cracking, flattening under a load applied gradually at room temperature until the distance between the platens is five times the wall thickness. Welded pipe shall be made from flat-rolled alloy by an automatic welding process with no addition of filler metal. Subsequent to welding and prior to final solution treatment, the material shall be cold worked either in both weld and base metal or in weld metal only. The weld shall be positioned 90 deg from the direction of the applied flattening force.
