Stainless Steel 446 Welded Pipes is a ferritic, non – heat treatable stainless steel that provides good resistance to high temperature oxidation and corrosion. Stainless Steel 446 EFW Pipes is more difficult to cold work than other stainless steels due to the high level of chromium content.

Stainless Steel 446 ERW Pipes have excellent corrosion resistance in comparison with other steels as they contain more chromium. Machinability of Stainless Steel 446 Round Pipes is possible at slow speeds with positive feeds, rigid mounts and sharp tooling surfaces.
Stainless Steel 446 Square Pipes can be easily welded using most of the traditional methods except oxyacetylene welding. Welding material of Stainless Steel 446 Rectangular Pipes can be used if required, but it will not exhibit scaling resistance equal to the base metal.
Differences in coefficient of thermal expansion of base and weld metal in Stainless Steel 446 Electropolish Pipes has to be taken into consideration. Forging in Stainless Steel 446 Hexagonal Pipes can be started at 1149 Degree C (2100 Degree F) and completed at 871 Degree C (1600 Degree F).
